Cookies policy

What cookies pharma.wiki sets, why, on what legal basis, and how you control them. The short version: essential cookies to make the Site work, optional analytics if you allow them, and no advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind.

Version 1.0 · Last updated 7 July 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how pharma.wiki (the "Site"), operated by the publisher of pharma.wiki, uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have. It sits alongside our privacy policy and is drafted to comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 ("PECR"), as amended, including by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, and with UK GDPR where cookie data identifies you.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in comparable ways, and this policy treats them together. Cookies set by us are first-party cookies; the Site does not carry advertising and sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.

3. The cookies we use

We use [name the analytics tool]; measurement is configured for statistical purposes only and no analytics data is used to identify you or shared for anyone else’s purposes[analytics tool] measurementConsent through the cookie banner, or, where and when the statutory exception for statistical and service-improvement purposes introduced by the 2025 amendments to PECR applies and its conditions are met, that exception, in which case you are told and can object through the cookie settings

A full, current list of individual cookies, their names and their lifespans is maintained in the cookie settings panel on the Site, which is the authoritative inventory.

4. Your choices

On your first visit the cookie banner asks for your choices, and nothing non-essential is set before you make them; there are no pre-ticked boxes and refusing is as easy as accepting. You can change your choices at any time through the "Cookies" link in the footer, and withdrawing consent takes effect from that point. You can also control cookies through your browser, including blocking or deleting them, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site, such as sign-in, from working.

5. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when our use of cookies changes, and material changes will be reflected in the banner so that fresh choices can be made where the law requires. Questions go to hello@pharma.wiki, and the complaint routes in section 8 of the privacy policy apply equally here.
